How to spot bed bugs

Bed bugs are small, reddish-brown, blood-sucking insects. Although they aren’t known to spread disease, they can cause an allergic reaction or a severe skin reaction for some people.

Symptoms of bedbug bites are similar to those of other insect bites or rashes and usually display the following symptoms –

• Inflamed or itchy spots, often with a darker spot in the middle.
• Usually arranged in a rough line or in a cluster.
• Usually located on the face, neck, arms and hands.
