Powerful New Updates to the Sentry Portal

Lone Worker Product Update

At Orbis Protect, we are committed to continually improving our Lone Worker service to make it easier to use, more informative, and better aligned with the operational needs of our customers.

A number of new enhancements have recently been introduced within the Sentry portal, providing greater flexibility, improved visibility of alerts, and more control over how organisations manage their lone worker activity.

1. Greater Flexibility with Auto Reporting

Many customers already use the auto-reporting feature within the Sentry portal to automatically generate and send reports by email.

This enhancement provides greater flexibility over scheduling, allowing reports to be sent at times that better suit operational requirements. Whether reports are needed at the start of the working day, after shifts end, or at specific intervals, users now have more control over when and how information is delivered.

2. Colour-Coded Map Pins for Faster Alert Identification

To improve visibility on the live lone worker map, location markers are now colour coded based on the type of signal received.

For example:

Amber Alert signals appear in amber
Red Alert signals appear in red

This allows monitoring teams and managers to quickly understand the nature and priority of an alert at a glance, helping them respond more efficiently when support may be required.

3. Dashboard Tile Showing Service Usage

A new dashboard tile now displays service usage as a percentage, providing a quick overview of how the lone worker service is being utilised across your organisation.

Users can filter this information by hierarchy, date range, and signal volume, making it easier to analyse usage patterns and ensure the service is being used effectively.

4. Sentry User Permission Profiles

The Sentry platform includes a wide range of features that are controlled through user permissions.

This enhancement introduces the ability to create customised permission profiles, allowing organisations to assign the appropriate level of access for different users or teams. This makes it simpler to manage system access while ensuring the right people can view and manage the functions they need.

5. Improved Navigation on the Live Mapping Page

The live lone worker mapping page continues to display all signals and locations on a single map.

A new scrolling control has now been introduced, allowing users to easily navigate through signals and positions. This enhancement improves the overall user interface and makes it easier to review activity on the map with greater clarity.

These latest enhancements are designed to make the Sentry portal more intuitive, flexible, and informative for organisations managing lone worker safety. By improving reporting controls, enhancing visual alerts, and giving users greater oversight of service usage and permissions, these updates help teams respond faster and manage their lone worker operations more effectively.
