Meeting Our Customers’ Needs

We approached AIR-serv in January to provide lone worker safety solutions for their 70 Field Engineers who maintain air and water machines on petrol station forecourts. Due to AIR-serv managing over 10,000 machines throughout the UK, their Engineers are often working solo, rather than in teams. So recognising this challenge, AIR-serv took the responsible approach to ensure the best possible safety for their Engineers in lone working conditions.

AIR-serv had previously worked with another supplier but found that their Engineers were slow to adopt this technology as it was quite complex. From various online reports, AIR-serv discovered that in many cases, the lone worker device was left uncharged due to the difficulties that the Engineers were facing with the device. AIR-serv also encountered a variety of communication issues, which set the course to find a more suitable service for their needs.

Providing Real Solutions

We discussed the needs of AIR-serv in more detail with Simon Ellis, the Compliance and Training Manager for AIR-serv, to understand what the previous issues had been and how we could help to simplify the solution. Following the initial assessment, we recommended our RedAlert SOS Alarm Fob as this provided a discreet and easy to use device that gave AIR-serv the level of protection they required for their Engineers.

We also provided a ‘Train the Trainer’ package so that AIR-serv could fully train their Engineers on how to use the new RedAlert Fob, and due to the simplicity, this type of device has a much higher adoption rate for operatives, which is ideal for AIR-serv. The Management Portal ensures that reports can be easily accessed to understand the number of user alerts, GPS locations and device utilisation to decide if there is a need for further individual training requirements.

Our RedAlert service is linked directly to our Alarm Receiving Centre team, so in the case of any emergency or cautious situation, our team can be immediately on hand to support the Engineer and also alert the appropriate authority for assistance if necessary. We have also provided AIR-serv with a dedicated Account Management team who are available 24/7 for any queries that they may have.

Results That Matter

We managed the swap over from their previous supplier within just 30 days and also managed to reduce their monthly spend against their previous service, which has provided AIR-serv with considerable savings.

By using RedAlert services for their team, AIR-serv now benefit from higher device utilisation, a more responsive service from our ARC team and dedicated support from our Account team, giving AIR-serv a solution that is highly practical and perfect for their needs.
