In April 2025, we were appointed to rapidly assess and secure a national portfolio of 60 vacant properties across the UK, including distribution centres, retail stores, and trade counters, following a compliance issue with an incumbent provider. All sites required immediate, insurance-compliant security.
A full nationwide assessment was completed within seven days, with detailed specifications produced for every site. A risk-led security programme was then implemented across the portfolio within a three-week deadline, ensuring continuous protection and a seamless transition with no security gaps.
During April 2025, were asked to assess and deliver security solutions for our clients network of void properties. The portfolio included 60 vacant sites across the UK, comprising closed distribution centres, retail stores, and trade counters. These sites had been managed by an incumbent provider; however, a compliance issue prompted our client to seek a new partner who could respond quickly and ensure the properties were secured in line with their insurance obligations.
Our client requested our support in conducting a rapid, nationwide assessment and implementing robust, compliant security measures to protect their portfolio and minimise risk.
Their property portfolio covered the entire UK, from Helston in Cornwall to Castletown in Scotland. Following a recent internal restructure, key personnel who previously managed the sites were no longer with the business, leaving limited site information available. The customer required a security provider with full helpdesk support and the ability to manage and authorise site access. A strict deadline was also in place, as notice had already been given to the incumbent provider.
We rapidly deployed our national assessment team, completing 60 site assessments across the UK within seven days. Each assessment was carefully planned, with a detailed proposal and specification submitted to the client in the same timeframe.
Project Delivery Overview:
A post-assessment review, considering local and national risks as well as asset value, led to an agreed final specification. All measures were successfully implemented within the required three-week deadline.
Our team successfully planned and delivered the installation of all specified security measures, working closely with the incumbent provider to ensure a seamless transition with minimal risk of security lapses. A full key handover was completed, transitioning from manual key-safes to advanced SMART access systems, with secure access codes issued to all relevant stakeholders.
The project was delivered on time, ensuring continuous protection and a smooth implementation of all agreed security measures. Despite challenging circumstances, the client was highly satisfied with our performance throughout the process.
We are now continuing to support our client by enhancing site security further, including the deployment of additional solutions such as EnviroFence for complete perimeter protection.
