Our Key Account Manager for the North-West region, Jan Scovell, was approached by a relative of a lady who had been recently taken into care due to health issues. Unfortunately, the lady was unable to fully manage the large number of dogs within the property, so they were all rehomed when she went into full time care. This situation left the family with the prospect of clearing the house, which had been left in a terrible condition. Each room was full of belongings and animal mess which was extremely distressing for the family, on top of everything else they were dealing with.

We were asked to perform a full clearance and cleaning service to remove the severe clutter so that the family could assess what maintenance was required for them to get the property habitable again. Due to the condition of the property, the family couldn’t find important documents or valuables, so during the clearance our relet team carefully searched through the mountain of rubbish for documents and valuables, which were then put aside for the family. These items included a Will and other legal papers alongside a collection of jewellery.

Once the property was cleared, there was a considerable amount of pet bedding and toys that were in perfectly good condition as some products were even unopened, so Jan discussed with the family about the possibility of donating this to a local animal rescue centre. The family were absolutely delighted that they could donate on their Aunt’s behalf, so over the weekend, Jan voluntarily transported over 2 carloads of items to North Clwyd Animal Rescue to help support their rescue animals.

Results That Matter

Having the property professionally cleared and cleaned has transformed this home and enabled the family to sell the property to help fund the care for their Aunt. By helping the family locate important documents and valuables, we were also able to relieve some of the additional stress of dealing with their Aunt’s estate.
