Meeting Our Customers’ Needs

Redrow required a lone worker solution that was able to protect their people from potentially dangerous situations, particularly when demonstrating show homes to customers alone. Their sales consultants often work alone with customers on weekends and evenings and are also required to lock up the show homes, leaving them potentially vulnerable to threat or accidents.

Providing Real Solutions

Following an initial consultation session with Redrow, we conducted a thorough evaluation of user requirements at each site. We then agreed to deploy a mixture of SOS Alarm devices and Smartphone Applications to best suit the individual user needs. Our solution included 24/7 monitoring from our Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC), full training and after care customer support.

We worked with Redrow to ensure that their staff were fully aware of the capability of the devices by providing a comprehensive training schedule which included the following support –

Results That Matter

Redrow staff now have complete peace of mind knowing that in the event of working alone, they have access to our ARC team 24/7 to provide any support in the case of an emergency or threatening situation. Our teams are professionally trained to handle all types of situations from accidental falls to physical attacks and can bypass 999 calls with direct access to local Police control rooms, to get help for the user as quickly as possible.

Redrow’s management team are also able to log on to Orbis’ online portal to view a range of statistics to better manage the safety of their staff. This includes the usage/non usage of devices, signal history, Red Alert Activations, location information and automatic reporting information for their Health & Safety Requirements Review.

During a follow-up meeting with Redrow’s management team, we were able to ask some questions about our service and the benefits for Redrow employees.

What are the key benefits of our Lone Worker solution?

The Orbis team manage any incidents and assist the user in the event of an emergency and our management team are contacted immediately to advise of the activation. Both our sales consultants and management have peace of mind knowing that if they are ever in an uncomfortable situation or need assistance quickly then it’s at hand.

Can you provide an example of how your team use our solution?

We recently had a situation where one of our sales consultants used the Orbis device as she felt in an uncomfortable situation with a member of the public. The ARC Call Handler supported the call, stayed on the line and contacted the Sales Manager and Site Manager, which allowed the Site Manager to head straight to the sales office and provide immediate assistance to the Sales Consultant.

If the call had escalated for Police Response, the Orbis ARC Call Handler was on hand to despatch if required.
